Dave Lambert & Night Train

About Me

Little Old Woman LIVE, from The Stallion, Taylors, SC, 10/11/2008 Dave Lambert and the Carolina Rails play a wide range of music that includes original songs by the founder of the band, David Lambert, and traditional country, southern and classic rock covers. The rhythmic guitar core of the band, David and Herschel, often perform both solo and duo acoustic shows, in addition to the efforts of the full band.
The band was formed in early November, 2007 when former bassist, Randy Humphries, joined efforts with Lambert. From there, former drummer Robbie Queen, and guitarists Herschel Lee Brown rounded out the Rails. As with all things, the only constant is change. Lead Guitarist, Steve "Rude Dawg" Hofer and Bassist, Michael Watson, helped re-establish the core of the group once again. Percussionist, Dewey Easler, a long time road veteran, finalized the new lineup. The roster evolved yet again, to add Todd Grubbs from Fort Mill, SC, on Percussion. Future plans to expand the band's dimensions of sound include the addition of a possible steel guitar and/or a keyboardist in the very near future.
David Lambert was born in the small upstate Spartanburg town of Pacolet, and always had plenty of music around him while growing up. His music today is influenced by those folk songs, hymns, country, early rock and roll, and family history. After detours in life for family, career and military service, David is back on track with his music. Today he writes and performs music, solo and with the band, based on his family experiences, and Southern history. His current musical influences are Chris Knight, Marshall Tucker Band, Jimmy Buffet and Alan Jackson. David is a member of both BMI and the Nashville Songwriters Association. David was awarded the (Entertainer's INDIE Association)EIA Male Country/Pop Vocalist 2007 in Nashville.Mike Watson from Gaffney, joined in early May, 2008, on bass guitar. A long time veteran of holding down the bottom end, Mike and his playing style are also a natural fit for the Rails. Mikes experience comes from years of playing rock, Southern Rock, blues and country... As with anything worthwhile, sometimes you have to wait for the exact fit and chemistry, to complete the roster. We welcomed Eric Sharkey (The Shark) from Panama City, Florida, on the role of lead guitar. Eric's seasoned years of playing expertise makes him a natural fit for the position. real editor best profile tools real editor best profile tools
