A veteran of a thousand casuals, concerts and recording sessions, with performance credits ranging from the Academy Awards to premieres of feature films like Pirates of the Caribbean, at venues like the Hollywood Bowl, Angel's stadium and Munich's Olympia Halle, along with recording credits for film (the upcoming Six Wives of Henry Lefay) and television (FX's The Riches), Drake's abilities as a guitarist cut ambitiously across all popular styles, from the electric blues of Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan, the country snap of Albert Lee, and the classic rock stylings of Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page, to the soaring virtuosity of Eric Johnson and the jazz lyricism of Jim Hall and Pat Metheny.
As a vocalist, Drake has performed the music of Sting and Sinatra, Springsteen and Bocelli, the Eagles and the Beatles, Kool & the Gang and Prince.
Drake's doubles include saxophone, violin/fiddle, harmonica, keyboards and bass. An engaging Master of Ceremonies, in his live performances Drake pulls out all the stops, and gets those in the far corners of the room to join the center of the party.
Despite the fact that he's a lawyer, Drake is actually a lot of fun to work with.
Drake isn't generally in the habit of talking about himself in the third person.
Available for sideline work, film and t.v. recording, songwriting, production, and guitar lessons, Drake can be contacted by going here .
ABOUT THE "GUITAR" REEL: All sounds on the reel are either played, sung or programmed by Drake. (Other dedicated vocal and doubles reels to come, but until then you can hear those elements on the "guitar" reel.)
