My Interests

Everything falls into these 3 categories: MOVIES, MUSIC, and FOOD. Art. The Beach. Writing. Animals. Bedroom eyes. The sound of bells. Rain.French Onion SunChips. Anything and Everything exciting and new. Classic cars. Classy, vintage, 40's and 50's clothing and collectibles. I adore the music from that era as well. It was such an elegant and beautiful time. I wish I could've been there. And most of all, I love my awesome friends!! You're the best.

The Mars Volta, Jimmy Eat World, Heatmiser, Elliot Smith, Sparta, At the Drive-in, Taking Back Sunday, Straylight Run, Death Cab for Cutie,Camera Obscura, Built to Spill, The Shins, Small Brown Bike, The Clash, Ella Fitzgerald, Rosemary Clooney, ....my guilty pleasure-Oingo Boingo....I'm not supposed to like these guys because my husband tried so hard to get me to love them and I wanted to be stubborn.....didn't work ;), The Smiths, Mazzy Starr, The Dell-Vikings, Beach Boys, The Beatles.....how could you not love 'em?, THe Halo Benders, Sebedoh, all the classic 60's-70's rockers....you know who they are.... I just love good ol' fashioned 50's Rock 'n' Roll....and my fingers are getting tired of typing, but there are just sooooo many more!! In short: ALL OF IT!

Movies:

Stand By Me is the best....tell me I'm wrong =) Let me be pretentious and say Rashomon, or even Kurosawa films in general. I'm starting to adore Hitchcock after years of resistance. In the Mood for Love, 2046. Love them foreign films.... I know, I know, but give me some credit, I also love silly movies: Uncle Buck, Planes-Trains-and Automobiles, crazy 80s comedies and the like.

Television:

I'm a sucker for 24 =) and now....Entourage. Brideshead Revisted (BBC). The Office.

Books:

The Outsiders, The Grapes of Wrath, Brideshead Revisited....and other books by Evelyn Waugh (no, he's not a woman). Robert Frost's books of poetry. Anything Steinbeck. On Writing by Stephen King. You'll catch me reading "The Classics", books on astrology, and books on filmmaking most of the time =)
