Pad Jazz

The Pad Jazz Quartet is a group of four fine musicians who love performing jazz as well as different genres of music. They have found each other since 2007 through gigs and finally decided to form a band for a nice blend of music. Pad Jazz offers you not only standard jazz music but a variety of styles including: Jazz, Pop, R&B, and Top 40. Kitty Pipatcharoenkij/ vocal who has been described as "A talented singer with excellent tone", "Always having a professional attitude", and "Is a joy to work with". Her work includes voiceover for the Thai production of “Space Jam” (Warner Bros. Pictures), CBS “Survivor”, numerous Thai commercials, session singer for Thai music label FOME, producer and DJ for the Los Angeles based radio station EV2, and M.C. for local Thai music concerts. In 2002, Kitty decided to move to Los Angeles. She immediately enrolled in music classes at Los Angeles Valley College, where she quickly impressed the faculty with her drive and desire to become a complete musician. After graduating from LA Valley College, Kitty was accepted into California State University at Los Angeles, where she is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Commercial Music. Kitty currently performs jazz and pop around the Los Angeles area.
Travis Newlon/ guitar, who received his formal music training at Musicians Institute. In 2005 he was invited to join the MI staff where he now teaches Harmony and Ear Training classes and works as an ensemble member. As a performer, Travis can be seen at popular venues all over SoCal playing everything from rock and pop to jazz and blues.
Spencer Wright/ electric & acoustic bass, who received his Bachelor of Music from University of Miami. He has performed with many top name musicians including: Ricky Fante, Richie Sambora, Aaron Carter & Kenny G. Spencer has performed and appeared on over 25 TV shows and movies including: Flags of Our Fathers, J.A.G, Star Trek, American Dreams, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Veronicas Closet, Slackers, & Yours , Mine, & Ours to name a few.
Jack Less/ drums, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from The University of Miami School of Music as well as a B.A. in Theatre from Occidental College in Los Angeles. As a drummer and a percussionist, Jack covers many stylistic bases. Work experience has included countless original music performance projects as well as Top 40, R&B tenures, smooth jazz, casuals, musical theatre pit work (“Brigadoon”, “Big River”, “Heart Beats”, "Three Penny Opera"), and work as an accompanist for modern dance classes at Miami’s New World School of the Arts. He has performed Latin music with Candi Sosa, and Cecilia Noel; and has recorded with Steve Rucker & Matt Bonelli (Bee Gee’s) as well as with Rap Artist “Evil E.” Jack is also available for “sidelining” work, and has appeared ..rek: Voyager in that capacity.
