Michael and Daniel Carberry are identical twins from Ashtabula, Ohio. Born in 1990, the two were amazed by the power of film as early as age six through Spielberg's Jurassic Park. Their talent for filmmaking manifested years later when their parents' video camera became the brush used for their artistic visions. Around the beginning of 2000 they learned much about the process and craft of filmmaking through creating skateboard films and shorts. In 2004 the twins started calling themselves MDC Films (MDC standing for, of course, Michael & Daniel Carberry Films)when they founded a video production company which shot weddings, sport highlight films, training films, et cetera. In 2007, Daniel was selected out of 6,800 teens to make a short film with his peers in a program called Samsung Fresh Films. Their film "Commencement" impressed award-winning industry professionals on the jury and took home the Juror Award. The twins' senior year of high school was spent entirely at Cuyahoga Community College where they were able to take film classes. The pair won 'Best of Show' at their college's film festival for their short film "A Day Trip". Since their start they have written, directed, filmed, and edited over 100 films. Their ultimate dream is to direct feature narrative films.
