Melvin Hamilton Jr was born on June 24,1989 in Philadelphia P.A. As some of yall know him by his stage name Mello! With a laid back flow and hot rhymes, this 19 year old does not play when it comes to music. when he’s in the studio, its time to work, when I say work I mean work. But so far Mello has three Mixtapes out and its only been Two years he has been rapping. It all started when Mello was six years old, preaching and singing on his great grandma steps. When his great grandmother looks at her grandchild, she say she looking at more just a star. She say she looking at a leader, a respectful young man, and a gift from God. As Mello got older, he started to sit back and listen to alot of mc's that who he know that’s speaking real Hip-Hop. Like tupac shakur, biggie smalls, AZ, Nas, LLcool J, Jay z, Ja Rule, Buckshot,Krs One, RaKim, 50cent,DMX,Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Mos Def. and many more.But I can keep going, but He’s two favorite rappers of all time, is Tupac and Az. Mello started taking rap more serious when he heard somebody on TV say you can be what every you want, if you have something on your mined speak it out and keep it real. That day, May 30 2006, God had came down and gave him a pin and pad and Mello could not stop writing. when he came home from school everyday he went to his room and coming up with crazy songs. but he had to find he’s flow, because he was sounding like cam'ron a little. but he’s mother Michelle told him to keep on writing and keep on practicing it would come.By March 8, 2007, Mello was ready to work on his first Mix tape. witch was called the Rebirth Of Hip Hop! With 14 Tracks This kid was starting to shine. And he’s first Mix tape came out on April 2, 2oo7! As Mello had got done His first Mix tape, He decided to work on His second one while he was still pushing his first one. This kid couldn't stop. I was shock because he was still going to school getting good grades and staying up late at night just writing and coming up with crazy hooks and rhymes. So when the school got year was over, Mello started to go back in the studio on June 28, 2007, and finishing recording some of the tracks for his second mix tape. Witch was called The Flash Back. And when I say this kid was getting stronger I mean it. he came so hard on His second mix tape, Everybody Was like now we have to push this kid. Because what he saying was Real, and coming from the heart. And the Flash Back came out on August 20, 2007. Learning new words and working on how to say and put his words together. Now that Mello was getting more better at his Vocal, Now it was time to take it to the Stage. That’s when Mello went' out to Jamaica on June 30! he went to Jamaica for a vacation, and that’s when they had a event out their on July 30, and Mello join the event for the show. man Every body went crazy when they heard this Kid. for real. I was like its time to work on a album. But when it was time to go back to school Mello started to get even more hotter. His last year in high school Mello started to work on His third Mix tape called The Show. But before he Brought that out, when Mello Came Back To Philly, He had this single That Open the doors for him. The song is called Hip-hop is my baby.I'm telling yall that song is still crazy. When he came back and performed in Philly people who heard the song that live in Philadelphia they went crazy. then after awhile More and more shows Mello was performing at talent shows, he won a plat and a 1 place trophy, and started to perform at high schools, he performed at clubs but the biggest show Mello had performed at, was the Wachovia center. That’s where the sixers play at and the flyers. the biggest event every. he open up for the Harlem Globe Trotters. this kid Killed it. Pushing his Music by himself,writng his own lyrics man, you would think this kid is singed. But the third Mix tape The Show came out Feb 5 2008. 2008, and a DVD, Coming Soon, called Da Rookie!
