How Maples Street Organics came about
We created Maples Street Organics because we needed a simple and natural way to treat our baby son's eczema.I kept going to the doctor, who prescribed a list of products (also with a long list of ingredients), eventually prescribing steroids. These would work for the five days I could use them, only the next week the eczema would come back. Eventually I got fed up, steroids are not good for your skin I was upset at having to put them on my baby. I looked everywhere for a good moisturiser that would help, used all the named brands then went to the health shops and tried all the expensive herbal or natural brands I could find but could not find a long term solution to keep the eczema at bay.
After extensive research and experimenting with healing natural butters and oils, Baby Shea was created. I was amazed by the remarkable and visible results to my son's skin. He had large patches of eczema on the back of his neck, his bottom and legs, which he had itched so much that he had broken the skin in places and much of the rest of his skin was dry. Within a couple of days of using Baby Shea he had stopped itching, within a week of using it day and night, it had cleared up completely.
The reason for this was simple: all the antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and natural goodness in the natural and organic ingredients nourish and heal problem skin. After months of research and more experimentation, I managed to develop a whole range of natural and organic skin care products suitable for the whole family.
