Myspace LayoutsWe are Esmon and Mari-Anne. We've been married for 12 years. ~*~Our vision is to build a strong marriage and family and help other people build strong marriages and families. Everyone needs a family.... We believe that everyone has a God-given purpose and it's their job to live that out.....and that with God anything is possible. We want our dash to count. We ascribe to living our lives by precept (what God says), principle (basic human beliefs), then preference (what we prefer or like)....and in that order. ~*~ We have 4 awesome kids and strive to live a life of excellence. One day we want to be on the Amazing Race....we think we'd kick butt. ~*~ When we met we were both coming out of the party scene. We learned that that environment wasn't healthy for marriages, relationships or families. We love meeting new people, making new friends and having tons of fun. We like to let people know that sometimes people just want a place "where everyone knows their name" ~ Cheers. ~*~ Mari-Anne's story: My heritage is from the Philippines. Living in a big family has taught me that you can't please all of the people all of the time. So you might as well stop trying to please people and do what's right. After high school I went to University on scholarship for a semester but decided it wasn't for me so left and jumped right into the workforce. I believe that education is important but is not the only way to succeed. Because of our business interest and projects, I've had the privilege of being at home to raise my kids since I was 24. We tell people I'm semi-retired (ha ha). ~*~ Es's story: My heritage is from the Southern Caribbean. My family moved from England then to Eastern Canada and finally to Western Canada. I went to college where I earned a degree in Education. I've also worked on my Masters in Ed. Technology and Administration (but I believe that Mar is more book smart than me ~ ha ha. I like being life smart). I believe in the value of hard work because as an immigrant family that's all we knew. Education has helped somewhat, but I believe that deep down in each of us is a desire to be independent and find your own path and sometimes books don't cut it. My interests are playing sports not watching them, playing and performing music, not just listening (I'm the least gifted musician in my family...everyone else borders on genius), old cars, especially Chryslers, but most of all I am changing my family's stars by becoming wealthy in every area of life. ~*~ Our friends are from all walks of life: from guys deep in the party scene, to guys who preach in church. We love to hang out with people who are going somewhere and talking about it. People who have big dreams and goals and aren't afraid to go after them. The reason why we think this way is because of our parents and people we have chosen to help mentor us through life.
