Left Side Driver formed in the fall of 2007. They decided their genre would be clown rock, waltz like rock music with an emphasis on laughter. The founding members were Benjamin Cloutier and james taylor m0seley. Their first release was the “Brighten†single which also contain the songs “The Midland Crisis†and “Mr. Radio†on the same second track.
In 2008, the duo released their first full-length album titled “The Absurdity In Eweâ€. The album was produced in a classroom and girl’s bathroom of the University of North Texas School of music. Cloutier and m0seley solely used a camcorder to record the files. The concept of the album was to “stripe†the album like circus tent by bleeding the songs into each other in pairs.
Later that year, the clowns decide to strike again. This time Left Side Driver release a five song EP called “The-ologyâ€. Layers and layers of midi, vocal, and guitar tracks created what the band would soon say was the greatest achievement. Left Side Driver has recently decided to release a new self titled album in spring 2010! Don’t forget to laugh!
