Patrick has been writing songs for a long time, some time before life formed on the earth's crust. Only advanced modern pharmacology, whoops, I meant technology, keeps him going.
In 2004 he worked with Jeff Desira on guitar and bass who helped him compose the original seven songs that sparked the band. Jeff and Patrick performed as "Sparky Ravenwood" around the SF acoustic circuit.
In 2006, moving toward a more rockish sound the band, now known as "One BIG Bang" added Jerry Mark and his big bottom on electric bass and Jarod Hermann on drums.
Soon after, Jeff took his toys and left and is now living in NYC writing recording and performing, check him out!
After Jeff's move to the Right Coast, the fabulous Frenchman, "Lucky" Pierre Yves Louis electrified the guitar and the transition to rock band was seemingly complete. Pierre, alas, felt the unyielding pull of his native Gaul and moved back to Paris where he is a successful recording and performing artist, look for his stuff, too.
In 2007, The Master of Tone, Reid Steiner, took over on guitar and for one reason or another, the band took its current, and I swear, its last name, "OneStepFast."
It was just too damn simple to leave well-enough alone, so drummer Jarod departed to further his studies and continue his work with the band "Karpov" and is touring and performing with them. Maybe. Take a listen, if you'd like.
The two songs on this page were recorded with studio drummer Randy Burke who also engineered the recording at Stout Recording, his Oakland studio. Highly recommended. We've got two more songs in the oven, should be up soon.
And, yes, we now have a permanent drummer, Tony Perrie, stickman extraordinaire.
OneStepFast is accepting bookings and we'd be happy to appear at your favorite sleazy dive or elegant evening establishment, or anything in between. Also looking for bands to hook up with for booking. The two (soon to be four) tunes are pretty representative of what we do but we have some tricks up our sleeves that will surely make even the Cape Crusader blush.....
Patrick has just become a member of ASCAP.
Check out some of his Funky tunes on myspace with Concrete Marshmallow
All you need is love (da-da-dada-dah)...
