A Brighter World? is the 'difficult second album' of me and Steve Jones, collectively known as THREE. First album, Grey World, was done in 1983 so this has taken a while. A Brighter World also features my other long term collaborator, Tot Thompson on Bass on 'Not a Day'. In the intervening years spent a long time in Newcastle upon Tyne playing with Alfresco's Picnic, a band that I felt really should've got there! Also played in jazz trio, Stripped Down, practised in a sweet shop, fantastic....I think thats why I had to start exercising! Me, Steve and Tot have done plenty of other stuff in the meantime, with our band DeepSix, who WILL be gigging in 2008.Storm was a few songs done with different singers, getting a bit more into writing rather than performing. 'What I want To do' is sung by Maggie Sumner, a fantastic blues (original) R&B and reggea singer.
