I am generally a caretaker personality. I am the one friends come to for advice or a good listener. I was always the kid who had the best ideas. I generally find myself in leadership positions as an adult because of the same traits, of creativity and a sense of adventure........A lot of my friends think of me as one of the funniest people they know. I'm not afraid to look stupid, either to make someone laugh, or because I'm laughing so hard everyone in the area is looking at me.............I just moved back to the US after five years in New Zealand. I have kids. They are still in New Zealand with their mother, but since I was the primary parent in their lives until a few months ago, they are certain to be a huge part of my life when I can get them here..............I grew up in riverside and san diego counties..............I have my AA in psychology, My BTh in counseling. I am everybody's Daddy or Uncle. I am the guy that everyone comes to for advice. I am active in pretty much every fringe community I can find. I am a driven and ambitious writer and a voracious reader. I write essays, opinions, short stories, books, and comic book and television scripts. My primary areas of interest are Urban Fantasy, and Enlightenment Literature. I work in Public Service, but I am making strides toward my goal of writing for comics and tv.......Women’s Top Ten Favorite Conversation Topics....1. Hopes and aspirations: I aspire to have hopes. I hope to get one of my scripts picked up and actually see it on the screen. I hope to get custody of my kids. I hope to learn how to consistantly choose happiness.........2. Hobbies/interests in general: I write, I read, I like to take porn comics and color them with colored pencils. Non-porn comics too sometimes. I'm interested in the film industry. I like that show on the food network that shows how different candies are made. I like the candy making industry in general.........3. Music: I love music. I love Emerald Rose (my favorite obscure band). I love Kimya Dawson (My favorite no longer so obscure singer) I love hippy music, and country, alternative, some hip hop, most everything at least a bit.......4. Dreams: I've had a dream a couple times that I had a human dog. Just a person who wore mittens and a body stocking and lived as a dog. My youngest was visiting and he wanted to play dog too and we dressed him up and he played with the dog. But even he knew that he was playing and the dog wasn't. He understood that somehow.........5. Romance: I like to be romantic. Little cards and flowers, and little gifts to say I'm thinking of you. While I like it when a girl is romantic, I'm always like "What are you doing this for?"........6. Friends: I've been in New Zealand for five years so I am just getting back in touch with some old friends and meeting some new ones..........7. Travel: I've never been a big fan of travel. Living overseas cured that though. I love Mexico and Canada, our lovely neighbors. I love Neuevo Zealand. I really want to go to europe and australia..........8. Vacations: Vacation is such a management word. "When I look at your workspace, peon, it is vacant." I much prefer "Going on Holiday" Because any day away from work is holy by it's very nature.............9. Movies:I LOVE Movies. LOVE, Love, love!! Love them so much It's almost like I have no taste. I'll watch anything. But I have taken enough media studies that I can break them down and comb through their symbolism with the best of them. Favorites: ****ing Amal (a.k.a. Show Me Love), Juno, Willy Wonka (original), highlander, Saved!.........10. Entertainment: I love movies, tv sometimes doesn't suck. Love to shoot pool, and am willing to bowl or play miniature golf. I will play any sport you want to play, badly, but I do like activity. But I always strongly prefer not watching sports compared to watching sports. I have not watched a sporting event from beginning to end since childhood.............Women’s Top Ten Least Favorite Conversation Topics......1. Politics HARDCORE liberal socially, fiscally libertarian. And am perfectly happy to discuss The Revolution for hours.............2. Other dates: don't date much, but enough that I have someone to silently compare you to. (Just teasing, Miss Sensitive-pants)...........3. Past relationships: married my high school sweetheart and best friend. Who now is insane and thinks I used mind control to keep her with me almost 20 years..........4. Science fiction: I love science fiction. THe only thing I love more is fantasy. Ooooh robots and unicorns, Hurrah!......5. Religion: my degree is in Theology, so I have strong opinions (which I nearly always keep to myself). Have twenty years practice as pagan clergy. I am ordained by the Anglican Church. I believe in magic and fairy tales (and the magic of some faerie tail)I believe that life is solely for the experience. I recommend Illusions, the adventures of a reluctant messiah by Richard Bach, and the entire catalog of Miguel Ruiz.6. Celebrities: I love celebrities, I find them fascinating. Because they do the same things our neighbors do. But we find those same acts unusual and fascinating when done by celebrities. And I don't think there's anything innately wrong with Jamie Lynn Spears getting pregnant at 17. The entertainment industry is one job where you can bring your baby to work........7. Science: I find quantum theory more interesting and relevant than religion. And possibly the same thing........8. Antiques: I like big heavy old furniture and I like old cars............9. Money: I like money, both for the possessions it aquires and the power it conveys...............10. History: Those who refuse to remember the past are condemned to repeat it.........................
