traveling "3rd world" countries to learn the culture and to learn how to live life, surfing anywhere with waves, hiking/camping above 10,000 feet, fishing for trout in pristine alpine lakes, dancing into the wee hours of the night, reading philosophy, thinking about life, working hard, learning from everyone and everything, listening to everyone and everything, gardening, hanging out and laughing with friends. I also love the 5 senses, especially smell, taste, and touch. There is nothing like the smell of jasmine in the month of April. And there is nothing like the feeling between two bodies when there is chemistry.
Nice, unique people from around the world, guys or girls. People who realize there is more to life than working for the almighty dollar. Those who live for the moment, yet are aware of the future. I read a statement once in a hostel I was staying at, it stated "What would you do if you knew that this was your last day on earth? Do it. People are always planning for the future, working for it, but have you ever experienced the future? Take your time now to live in the present, because the future is an illusion. All that will ever exist is THIS MOMENT. This moment is your whole life, give it the attention it deserves. Smile, have fun, be happy. Enjoy it now." If you are ever traveling to the St. Pete area, feel free to hit me up. I would be more than happy to show you around.
Hip Hop, Reggae/Dancehall, Reggaeton for dancing (anything that will make a girl's body shake). RnB, 3 Tenor type for relaxing.
City of God (my favorite), The Motorcycle Diaries, The Blue Lagoon, Waking Life, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Castaway, Gladiator, Before Sunrise/Sunset, Godfather I, Crash, Lost in Translation, Titanic, Swingers, Dumb and Dumber, Wonderful Life, Scarface, Office Space,Amelie, Anchorman, Endless Summer II, Braveheart, Shawshank Redemption, Forest Gump, Schindlers List. I love dramas that make me think and comedies that can make me laugh. But then again, isnt that what they are suppose to do?
I dont have much time to watch T.V. I would rather do something productive.
Books that are deep. Books that teach. Most fiction is not for me. The words of philosopher J. Krishnamurti make my mind race with thoughts. Mutant Message Down Under, Celestine Prophecy, anything written by Kahlil Gibran, poetry by Rumi, Anne Frank: A Hidden Life, Way of the Peaceful Warrior, Into Thin Air, The Art of Happiness: Dalai Lama, all Lonely Planet books.
Bob Marley for his lyrics, Mother Teresa and the Dalai Lama for their compassion, MLK for his voice, Rosa Parks for her courage, Mahatma Gandhi for his belief in nonviolence and refusal of material possessions. Those who arent afraid to spread love, and want the best for others. Both of my younger brothers whom are married and have their priorities straight. Also, everyone out there who gets up after falling and tries again. Mistakes arent Mistakes if you learn from them.
