DJ SKINNIE was born in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. Listening to the world famous radio station Power 106 was an everyday routine for him, this is where he first heard DJ's spinning and felt a brand new love for Hip-Hop music. Music and the DJ lifestyle became his passion. This was at the right time when "DJ's" were not only just playing music but becoming the artist. He got his first chance in high school where he played house parties and soon became very well known. Moving to San Diego only in 2006, he continued to do shows for local SDSU fraternities followed by his debut at Deco's nightclub in 2008. Then when he just turned 21 he got his first Friday night and many nights playing at Belo nightclub followed by many other performances at On Broadway Event Center and Spin Nightclub with the help of Tim Ortiz and eventvibe.com.
Most recently DJ Skinnie has been the DJ and spinning tracks for the up and coming, soon to be legend on the mic: CHRIS YOUNG. Together they have played @ the Key Club in Hollywood, the Temple Bar in Santa Monica and an Opening Set for the famed SHWAYZE @ the Rialto Theatre and Club DV8 in Tucson, Arizona.
DJ Skinnie is currently on the EV Music Record Label alongside DJ's: Cowboy Mike, $uperfox, Chase Costello, Yan Lhert & Brett Nieman. DJ Skinnie thanks his friends and family, especially his mother and grandmother for all their support through the years, he says " without them I wouldn't be where I am today.""Music is my life"
