About Me

I'm a poet, the author of ten published books. I'm also a singer-songwriter. I made one album of original songs several years ago with Dave Snyder, a guitarist and songwriting partner; we called ourselves "Open Book." I wrote all the lyrics, sang lead, and the music was a collaboration. We performed together for ten years at venues ranging from bars to music festivals. Our biggest exposure was opening for Melanie and Arlo Guthrie at the Little Buffalo Festival Of The Arts, Perry County, PA in 2000, when we performed for around three thousand people. Dave Snyder and I no longer work together, but I perform with a different band on occasion, as well as singing first tenor in the choir of the Unitarian Church of Harrisburg. I'm hoping to record a CD single of a new original song soon. Meanwhile, the CD "Build A Fire" is no longer in stores, but is still available from me.
