“It’s that hip hop with that rock ‘n roll swag” … Born and raised on the Toronto streets, JUDGE DREDD hopes to set a new standard for Canadian Hip Hop.Judge Dredd isn’t new to the industry. From a young age, he has been involved with Hip Hop. He was a part of a group called “Zig Zag,” and now he’s the leader of a new group known as ‘Karnige’ (which his brother is involved in). He has performed at community events, Showcases in the Toronto downtown area, as well as different contests (such as the occasion when Diplomats Records’ A&R “Duke the God” came scouting for new talent). Judge also contributes to the industry by promoting artists through a Toronto based dvd magazine, known as‘Da News DVD Magazine’. Although performing ranks as one of his best experiences as an artist. He’s a natural born artist always finding different ways of expressing himself.‘KARNIGE’ is the team. It includes Judge Dredd, Killa Loqi, King Malod and Shala. Judge writes his own lyrics and the production for his music is done in house, mainly by “HIT SQUAD BEATS.” In his own words… “All of us have a mean hustle which creates a force not to be reckoned with.” Judge wants to represent the “real dudes gettin’money, with swag” on the streets. When asked what set him apart from other Canadian artists his response was, “I got swag. I got an eagle eye. Plus I’m living what I’m talking.”The single “It’s Over,” which was featured on the mixtape/dvd known as “Toppa Top City,” which was also Toronto’s first street video. The second video, “Carry the Weight” was featured on ‘Da news DVD Magazine.’ As was the newest video, “Rebel”. “Rebel” will actually debut on ‘Da News DVD Magazine’latest issue. In the spring of 2008 Judge has a new album coming out, “JudgeDredd The Ghetto Rock Star.” An official website will be coming out in the very near future.
