Originally named "The Fruit Sisters," this minimalist duo began as a response to three things:1) the awesomeness of Micheal Jackson's "Thriller" album2) The cartoon "Jem" and its evil-doers, the Misfits3) The Beastie Boys first album, "Licensed to Ill"Oh, and we LOVE Madonna. Duh.Long live the "Anne and Liann two-man band."
