Dingy-1. of a dark, dull, or dirty color or aspect; lacking brightness or freshness.
2. shabby; dismal.'The born at night villainous D-student Dingy' AKA D.E.(Devils' Ego) arrived on this boring ass planet at exactly 11:32 PM, on April 19th 1986 in Warwick, New York. Dingy was raised in Middletown, (M-city) New York until the age of 11, but still today D.E. proudly reps M-city as his hometown. Being the sixth born child out of eight meant he was no stranger to sex, drugs, and violence at a young age. His mothers' drug addiction ultimately leading to her incarceration resulted in him having to move to wack ass Saugerties, New York, with his father where for the first time in life Dingy was the only kid of color in his class. Having to overcome racism and eventually make friends with kids who used to call you "Nigger" was a small challenge for Dingy. His love for music and art keeping him open minded and the fact that he felt he would never fit in meant meeting new friends was as simple as having a love for various genres of music. Due to the constant back and forth moving between his mother and father Dingy has gotten in trouble and caused drama in every city and small town in the upstate (845) area. At age 16 his father moved to Lake Katrine, New York. A small, mostly white, suburban town outside of Kingston (Exit-19).
It was while attending Kingston High School that D-student Dingy built his reputation among fellow drop-outs and school skipping drug dealers as a vicious, disrespectful battle rapper with a malicious personality and dark sense of humor.
It was the gray and depressing spirit of K.I. that would later inspire his rap name and shape his Rap/Blues/Gothic style. Along with his love for classic and hardcore rock, hardcore rap and blues.
Since then D-student Dingy or Dingy (Dark, Intelligent, Never Guided Youth) remains a solo artist/general in the Upstate Music Alliance known as "NOPEACE" that he helped form along with his cousin rapper/producer Mopeace in 2006. Despite 3 underground albums they already have under there belts Dingys' first official mixtape appearance was on Dirty Looks' 16 bars- vol 1. His latest projects of 2008-2009 include callaborations on Menaces' [Upstates Menace] mixtape and [NOPEACE: It's a matter of time part 1] featuring fellow NOPEACE generals The Menace, Biggs, Big Rod, Statz and J.Shotty. Dingy also did a collab mixtape with Traze of C.L.X. titled [Past Present Understanding] and dropped his classic debut mixtape [Struggle & Animosity vol 1.] As a general of the NOPEACE Gestapo 'The born at night villainous D-student Dingy has evolved into an artist/poet/writer of near omnipotence unrivaled in his Rap/Blues/Gothic realm. He is the living symbol of struggle and animosity, the voice of all dark and intelligent never guided youth whose lyrical ferocity is matched only by his undying devotion to the Upstate Music Alliance and the 845, R.I.P. Glenn C. The struggle continues... USNY/845/NOPEACE
