I recorded my first song, Girl in Black, back in January of 2008. I was so grateful for all the wonderful comments I received on it and truly appreciated the support. You’re Here, which was recorded in September of 2008 is a ballad about the loss of my Grandmother in 2007. I felt that there would be a lot of people that could relate to this song in some way. It is a well-written song and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
I also will have another upcoming project that I am looking forward to and is in the process of being written by Kenan Moore who plays in an amazing band called Bed Time for Toys. I got in touch with Kenan after meeting his dad Greg Moore (G Moe) in Nashville a little over a year ago. G Moe is the guitarist for Earth Wind and Fire and he told me about his son. Kenan is a very talented musician and writes some great music. I feel fortunate to have this opportunity to work with him. I am really looking forward to this because it will bring a slightly different sound to my music.
Jesse Nemitz, who I met on my first trip to Nashville, is an extremely gifted artist and has been a great help in my career. He gave me the push I needed to start recording and if it wasn’t for his suggestions and help I might never have recorded anything. I am very grateful to Jesse because of his advice.
I would like to thank everyone who is supporting my career and I appreciate it more than you will ever know. I need to thank E.C. for the business cards and the endless hours of torment and the rest of my family for their support as well! I also need to thank Nikia Crumby for taking such wonderful pictures and making me look good on MySpace!
