‬Obaid Juenda was born on 3rd November 1975†‬in the city of Kunduz where his father Mohammad Suleiman Khan was working as an official representative for a company called Speen Zarâ€.‬When he was seven years old his family moved back to their city of originâ€, ‬Kabulâ€.‬Obaid completed his primary and secondary education at Amani School and started his higher education at University Of Kabul in Law Facultyâ€. ‬Obaid appeared to be fond of music from a very young age and it didnصt take him and his family to long to discover his abilityâ€. ‬When he was only ten years old he owned his first instrument†(‬an accordion)with which he tended to spend all his free time while most of the boys of his age had funâ€.‬Obaidâ€, ‬being blessed with a haunting melodious voice and tremendous sense of rhythmâ€, ‬was initially a self-taught young musician who took part in many musical events at school and received a warm reception and support from the crowed of his audientsâ€. ‬He recalls each single performance as great source of encouragement and simultaneously a driving force behind his commitment to music which made him devoted to music and as it appears from his surname†‬زJuendaس†(‬in-search-ofâ€) ‬never refused to seek help from music clearâ€- ‬sighted people who could offer him a piece of adviceâ€. ‬Obaid had his first breakthrough to radio and TV whilst he was a law student at Kabul university and the first song titled†‬زsadai qalbamس†‬he recorded for radio and TV became a hit and he managed to record few more tracks but due to the sudden change of situation in Afghanistan they never got broadcastedâ€. ‬In 1992†‬Obaid was forced out of Afghanistan by the war in the country and made his way to Kiev the capital of Ukraine where he carried on with his educationâ€.‬In 1994†‬Obaid went to England where he was afforded further opportunity to explore his ability and talent in the field of musicâ€, ‬and decided to establish a firm basis for his only ambitionâ€, ‬musicâ€. ‬Subsequently he met his ustadâ€, ‬one of the greatest names in musicâ€, ‬Mrâ€. ‬Ghulam Ali and became his studentâ€.‬In 2000†‬Obaid released his music album titled†‬زKaba-ye-Dilس†, ‬which was widely appreciated by the music lovers and professionalsâ€, ‬and gained an ample of positive comments and supportsâ€.‬He is musically giftedâ€. ‬In his stage presence Obaid always strives to establish a rapport with his co-artists and believes this attitude to be the essential element for a good preformanceâ€. ‬Over the past years he has had performances in major parts of Europeâ€.‬Hadis-e wafa†(‬the tradition of fedelityâ€) ‬is the latest album from Obaid Juenda which rocked the Afghan music market eversince it was released on July 2005†‬with its smash hit tracksâ€: ‬Hadis-e wafa and Dokhtar-e Naziâ€.‬Obaid talks about one of his proud memories recently when he went to visit homeland by an official invatation from Arian International TV Network to participate in their first anniversaryâ€; "‬I was overwhelmed and full of joy to receive such a warmth and positieve echo of all these yars of hard work which once more it proves to me that the honest hard work for the quality never goes wastedâ€, ‬it certainly pays you backâ€.‬Currently Obaid Juenda is working on his next project which will inshallah be brought to your ears and eyes soon
