Maybe it was the timing, or perhaps, fate…
On the onset of 2008, Kurt Corpus – former bassist of the well-known underground band, Saydie – decided that it was high-time to put his musical inclinations into gear after a year’s worth of hibernation from the scene. He envisioned a type of genre that would exude a fusion of grunge, pop, punk, rock and alternative akin to that of the legendary FOO FIGHTERS and the controversial PANIC AT THE DISCO.
However, he was faced with the dilemma of searching for notable band mates.
Coincidentally, he came across Katya Salamanca who was then a sessionist for Saydie in the absence of its vocalist.
Katya recently left her long-time Nu metal band Garden of Eden and was also on the lookout for newer opportunities... The two soon became acquainted and eventually realized that they were of the same “Corpus bloodline.” It was then that the idea of forming a band with the involvement of a relative transpired. Kurt subsequently asked his cultured neighbors - Alpha Adorna and Victor Dinulos - to come to grips with the lead-and-bass-guitar-playing tactics, while Jeff Casera- a long-time musically proficient friend - handled the tempo and beats.
Their first run through cropped up on a Sunday of February 2008; hence, the name “Sunday Sessions” was conceived.
The band is currently in the process of song-writing and polishing before hitting the electrifying and side-splitting scene.
