Let's face it, breast cancer sucks. We're just a small group of women but we're going to DO something about it.
Why?
Well, to be honest, because for the first time ever, someone near and dear to us is battling it. RIGHT NOW.
Her name is Tara and she just 30 years old. Yup, you read that right, 30. Years. Old. Chemo, tests, sickness, exhaustion... And it bites.
If we can do one thing, like walk 60 miles to make more people aware that this can happen to YOU or YOUR WIFE, or YOUR MOTHER... or even *gulp* a MAN,we'll do it.
So, we're gonna walk. To make you aware, to make you listen to Tara's story and to ask you to help us raise money that will be put toward finding a cure. That's right, we said CURE. That means no. more. breast cancer.
Wouldn't that be sweet?
So, please support us as we take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
