About Me

Music Playlist at MixPod.com

The Galileo Seven was originally just a name for Allan Crockford's solo demos. But, he thought, what's the point in writing all these songs if there's no band to play them... So now there is a band, and it might as well be called The Galileo Seven, while we're here...

Allan also plays in The Vandebilts (bass).

Previous bands - The Stabilisers (guitar), The Prisoners (bass) , The James Taylor Quartet (bass) , The Prime Movers (bass) , Thee Headcoats (bass) , Goodchilde (guitar) , Phaze (guitar), The Solarflares (bass) ... and loads more.

There'll be more interesting info on the other members of the band as soon as they tell me some....

The tracks on this site are the original rough demos recorded by Allan. As soon as the band has recorded its' own versions, they will appear here...

Band Members: Allan Crockford - Guitar, vocals
Viv Bonsels - Organ, vocals
Paul Moss - Bass, vocals
Russ Baxter - Drums
Influences: Everything. Sorry that's a bit general... I suppose I could compile one of those lists of every half decent band that's made a noise since 1955 but I can't be bothered at the moment. I've tried not to rip off anyone though...not too obviously anyway.
Sounds Like: Not sure. I'll let someone else come up with some funny or faintly offensive comparison and put it up later.

First rehearsal successfully negotiated

This is of course of no real interest to anybody but us, but last night The Galileo Seven had its first rehearsal. It went really well, there were no rows or tantrums, nobody left and nobody was fired...

Situation not vacant..

The bass-bashing position is now filled. Thanks to everyone else who auditioned, but you were rubbish. The Galileo Seven project is now running....PS That was a joke. I'm sure if anyone had actually a...

We need a bassist!

Yes we do....Or you could be a guitarist who fancies bashing more manly thicker strings as a sideline. But if you can knock out melodic yet muscular bass lines without too much coaching, and if you ha...
