About Me

Inductee into the National Traditional Country Music Assoc. (NTCMA) Hall of Fame. Two preliminary Grammy Nominations for 'Best Male Country Vocalist' and 'Best Country Song'. Debut performance on the Grand Ole Opry with Hank Snow & his Rainbow Ranch Boys. Appeared on Ernest Tubb's Midnight Jamboree with Roy Acuff & the Smokey Mountain Boys... And more recently, on Jesse McReynold's "Pick Inn" Radio Show as 'Smokey Lonesome' (..per 'Granny' Joy McReynolds' nicknaming!). Winner of the Jimmie Rodgers Memorial Contest, Meridian, Ms. Staff writer and roster artist for two Nashville record labels (in 70's & 80's), self-producing numerous CD's (since) for release on assorted labels. Toured on 'Blues' shows (Europe) solo & w/ the Late Tom Pomposello (90's). Grew up in Cambridge, Ma. during 'Folk Music Boom' (60's), beginning his 'solo' career there in Coffeehouses, etc., and all thru-out NE (and later w/ Trad.-Country unit).. Lead guitarist w/ Trans-Atlantic Subway and Instant Up, prior (Rock/Blues).
