There comes a time in your life where you just have to let everything go that has happened to you in the past and in the present. If isn't perfect and if it was, it would be boring. What most people who are close to me know is that I'm resiliant and that I'll stand up for what I believe in no matter how much of an ass that makes me look like.
I'm married to a good guy and we've come a long way in the 5 years that we've been together. Well, it'll be 5 years in December but you get the point.
We met after both of us had just gotten out of relationships that ended not so smoothly. Only a month or so after jumping in head first, I decided to throw caution to the wind and ask him to move in with me. It wasn't easy adjusting to living with someone so soon after becoming independently on my own but we gave it a good try.
In May 2004 we found out we were going to be parents for the first time. I was ecstatic but anxious. Our daughter was born in Feb 2005 in what I call an bass-ackwards way. She decided she didn't want to come out the traditional way and she came out into the world butt first. It was as if she was telling the world "Look out world, here I come. And if you don't like it you can kiss my ass"
Mike and I got married in November of that same year in a storybook style wedding. I'm glad we sacrificed the goodies for a year just to be able to remember 20 years from now our beautiful church wedding. I hope he knows how grateful I am that he worked hard for us just to make me a Princess for a day and the Queen of his life forever.
So in 5 years we've overcame a lot thanks to God. We had a beautiful child, got married in style and we own our own home which I never thought would happen but he made it happen.
