About Me
DANIEL PERGAMENSCHIKOW was born in Kiev/U.S.S.R. 1974 as the only son of a reknown musicians family. Since 1977 he was brought up in Cologne/Germany.
He started his musical education at the age of 4 with the piano, later at five with the violin.
At the age of seven he already appeared on german television playing Mozarts original piano in Salzburg/Austria.
At the age of nine Daniel Pergamenschikow entered the Masterclass for violin of Prof. Igor Ozim, assistance Prof.Helfried Fister, at the university of his hometown Cologne.
Already then he made his first practice performing for audience.
From 1989 til 1992 the violinist studied with Prof. Zakhar Bron, performing in London, Hamburg, Madrid and other european stages as a member of his masterclass.
Further studies took him to summer classes with Prof. Abram Shtern,Prof.Felix Andrievsky,Prof. Philippe Hirshhorn.
From 1994 til the year 2000 Daniel Pergamenschikow studied with Prof.Gerhard Schulz at the university for music and performing arts in Vienna/Austria, where he also regulary attended the conducting classes as a concertmaster.
During his path as a classical concert violinist Daniel Pergamenschikow has performed with several orchestras being the soloist, as the Cologne Chamber Orchestra, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Slovenian Philharmonic, Orchestra del Arena di Verona, Stockholm Sinfonietta, Buenos Aires Philharmonic and other groups.
With his father Boris Pergamenschikow he performed the Brahms concerto for violin and cello under the baton of Voldemar Nelsson, Leif Segerstam, Jaap van Zweden and others.
Other appearances at the Salzburg Music Festival (1994 in a program by Andras Schiff), the "Carinthischer Sommer", Schleswig Holstein Music Festival, St. Petersburg/Russia, Sao Paolo, Montevideo, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid, Hamburg, Munich and other cities, mostly in Europe, together with the pianists Paul Badura-Skoda, Pavel Gililov, Sabri Tulug Tirpan, Rico Gulda and cellist Claudio Bohorquez.
Credited by a recording of the "Trout" by Schubert hosted by Paul-Badura Skoda and several other broadcasts for international radio stations, many for ORF/Austrian Radio.
From 2001 til 2002 he was a tutti violinist in the Royal Danish Orchestra.
2002 he returned to Vienna, where he lives at present, with regular stays in Berlin.A very intense musical partnership bound Boris and Daniel Pergamenschikow over several years, until his father was taken away by cruel desease in April 2004.Already 1997 Daniel Pergamenschikow started experimenting with the electric sound of his violin and MIDI. Several jams with local Viennese DJ's, such as Snow, Peter Pan, Pipe Up Project encouraged him to produce his own electronic music. 2002 he designed the music for a fashion show of the artists VESNA and Lilo Almog at the "Naturhistorisches Museum" in Vienna, featuring Kooby Bong from the People of the Aborigenes on solo didgeridoo.
This event was successfully repeated in 2009, featuring international artists from Vienna. Recording with the Fernando Paiva Group on the album "Santos de Casa".
2003 he performed in front of the "Semper"-opera in Dresden at a Falco memorial concert solo to the audience of 30.000 open air.
2004 he recorded in Cairo with the project WIENIL by Elsayed Kandil along with egyptian musicians.
Since 2005 Daniel is permanent member of the rock band SUPERMAX on electric violin and keys, touring worldwide. 2006 he recorded the soundtrack for a film by Ludwig Riha about Lower Austria with NOISIA and designed a collage on a speech of Erwin Ringel for an exhibition in Kufstein/Tirol.Private studies on humanities and art history with painter Jonathon Roberts in Vienna.He plays a violin by Cai von Stietencron, donated to him by Ronald Seunig and a ZETA jazz violin, donated by THOMASTIK-INFELD. Daniel Pergamenschikow designed the "INFELD"-violin string technology together with Ing. Franz Klanner for THOMASTIK-INFELD VIENNA.Daniel exclusively plays violin strings by THOMASTIK-INFELD VIENNA as an endorser.Collecting all the various experiences Daniel Pergamenschikow at present lives as an independant musician, producer and composer in
Vienna.
