Well folks, you know how bands start don't you ? And Skybound's baby steps wasn't different from any others. The band started as a Metal cover band, formed by friends who wanted to "rock the world" down, "Metal Up" everyone's ass and stuff like that. But... when it comes to serious stuff, a lot of people let you down to fight for what they believe in. And they're so damn right... that here we are, also fighting for our beliefs ! Skybound started to right their own songs in middle 2005, for a music festival, where they won a second place with the song "Caindo no Mundo" (that can be heard on http://www.palcomp3.com.br/jacare), written by Jacaré. That was a very important moment in the history of the band: the self knowledge of their potential! Right before the festival started the band started to work on more songs, with english lyrics. Some shows, more songs and a fight happens in late 2006 causing the band to end their activities. The reason ? the same old storie: different visions for the coming future. Then, in january 2007 the former members Jacaré (guitars), Bilinks (vocals) and Marcelo (ex-bassist) joined forces with the actual drummer, Fábio Villela. Fábio had an whole different background from the other members, since he played for a long time in a popular cover band. But the intention was to move forward... to new horizons! Skybound was back on the tracks, re-arranging older songs and writing the brand new "Saved". The sound was different. The vision was different! Everything was going so damned good until the band needed to pause their activities for a while (studies and other stuff like building houses...). And it remained silent 'till 2008, when all studies were done... but unfortunately, not the "building houses". And as a family should come first, Marcelo gave up the band for his family (All the best for you man !), and Skybound recruted Leonard Kill as their new bassist. Right now, Skybound is finalizing the "re-arranging" process, which took a while, to record in studio the songs: Fly Away (slightly different from the one posted here), Saved, Fading Pictures, No Ground, To Live (a new one) and maybe Living My Life. So well... check Skybound's myspace frequently if you're into their sound. Very soon, this songs will be here... and certanly, everywhere!
