I am here for Networking

About Me

Nothing very interesting, unfortunately.

I'm in my early forties, I'm married, no kids, schoolteacher, over-educated, under-motivated, and I joined myspace to find music; bands, CD releases, music downloads, etc. I've written a book, (currently illustrating it, not yet published,) two comic strips, (one for my college paper, one rejected for syndication for "unconventional content",) and a few CD reviews for some bands, (mostly in the Celtic-Punk genre, for the Boston-based webzine, Shite 'N' Onions, @ www.shitenonions.com )
I currently attempt to play the Irish Bouzouki, mandolin, tin whistle, and ukulele, (not all at once!) but somehow never got out of the "10-thumbed, tone-deaf, noise-polluter" category.
My favorite color is gray, favorite meal is Lamb Vindaloo, favorite time of day is dusk, I can splay the toes on my left foot incredibly wide, AND I may very well have been the first person to pluralize "Hell" as an expletive, as in "Hells yeah!". It was an accidental, drunken slurring, but it still counts!

Also, I love my iPod very, very much.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Me from the future, also, me from the past. But not for too long, I'm sure I'd get on my nerves quickly.

And Mayor McCheese, I miss him.

Aliases:
A. K. A. - "Professor Gommel," "The Amazing Christopher," "クリス", "Craig McMuffin," "Sweet Uncle Snuggles," "Norm De Plume," (only in print,) "Mr. Terrible," "Chico Pufnstuf", and "That Toler Bastard."

Things that I hate:
Macaroni and cheese, bean-bag chairs, neckties, Wookies, when the nail of my pinky-toe gets caught on a thread while putting on my socks, barber-shop quartets, sleep, and Sally Kellerman, (though I don’t know why!)

Words that I think sound dirty but really aren't:
"Putin," (yeah, as in Vladimir,)
"flagellate," (makes me smirk just writing it!),
"expunge," (now, THAT sounds positively filthy!),
"can't," (but only when said with a Thurston Howell-like Harvard accent,)
and, for some reason, "Oxana Baiul."
