About Me

The John Evelynn Garden is quite an ambitious project that is developing really quickly. It is all very exciting and we hope will give lifetimes of enjoyment for all who live here. We must emphasise that it is a community garden, built by and for the community, a common ground for people to enjoy, to come together, and experience a part of what life has to offer, of what is possible!Food grown here is all organic, vegetables, fruits, salads, mushrooms,,, the garden is primarily edible, with cooking facilities built within the grounds (clay ovens etc) ... planting follows the moon calendar and things are planted together so that they support each others growth and help protect from pests (companion planting), what is now called bio-dynamic gardening and permaculture. In actual fact these approaches to gardening have been around for centuries,,, millenia,,, and are simply following nature's logic.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)

I'd like to meet:

People who want to get involved, really ANYONE... one size fits all, this is for the community and the energy put in will be given out multi-fold. Would love more kids and adults alike from the surrounding estate to get involved and feel part of their garden's creation. People who want to learn more skills, and those that want to contribute their skills and talents.
