REVIEW - "Sellout" by Komodo
Scottish music is a sub culture in itself, in many small towns in the north of Britain, bands of talented Tennants-fuelled animals create a sound that could bludgeon most people in a blink! Komodo are an example of this, they play Brit Rock like it was played in the mid 90's, invoking images of The Almigthy and The Wildhearts. With a guitarist that can REALLY play – excellent sound and feel, and a rhythm section as tight as the proverbial ducks rear end, they are a welcoming sound! "Sellout" proves all these points, and then some, great track! Very good example of the pop/punk genre. Very good musicianship and good vocals. Overall maybe needs something to distinguish it from the pack. Not very sophisticated lyrics but they work OK. Band works very well together, very coherent and tight. Excellent.
8/10.
