Born to groove and a few decades too late, Electric Stardust harkens back to the days of disco lights, chocolote soul and big afros & asses!
Led by singer, Rick Curley the group formed in early 2005 when Curley met the Johnson twins (Keys and Guitar) at a disco charity in their hometown of Philly. Over midnight Gino's cheese-steaks, they discussed their nosalgic love for The Gap Band, Issaic Hayes and many groups of the classic disco/funk era. Soon the trio began writing local ads seeking other players and singers with like influences. It wasn't long before Redding, Thompson and Anthony filled in the "Gap" as the rythm section.
Fusing classic funk, soul, disco & r&b sensibilities with an edgy modern approach, Electric Stardust strives to bring the love to street corners, bedrooms & disco clubs everywhere!
We are currently recording our debut album, "All The Night" to be released later this year on Hotown Records. Shows will soon follow.
