i saw a video of a hawain funeral once where they poured his ashes into the ocean. it was like a huge beach party and it looked like everyone was having so much fun. i asked my mother why everyone was partying. she said that it was because they weren't grieving his death, it was a celebration of his life.
i love you so much i don't even know where to start. you were the best dog that i have ever met, and a lot better than most people that i've met, as well. i never thought that i would have to say goodbye to you. you were always there for me to talk to and cry on when i needed you and never disappointed. for ten years you romped and played, loving the outdoors and never losing your puppy-like quality of fun. i learned so much from you and you made these past ten years the best a person could possible ask for. you only tried to please and never, ever let us down. i love you so much.
i remember one time where your amazing love and loyalty showed. somebody accidentally left you off of your line outside and we went to the store. two hours later we came back and you were just chilling by the mailbox. any other dog would have wandered away from the yard, but you just layed down and waited for us to get home. you're amazing. we could leave a piece of cake on the floor and you'd look to us for permssion before even sniffing it. i loved when you would put your adorable little puppy paws on my lap and then fall asleep with your chin in my hand. you were so incredably smart it was ridiculous. you understood a request such as, "go down the stairs." and you recognized us by name, too. you understood, "go to mommy." or, "go to lauren." you even knew all of your toys by name. i remember i could line them all up and ask for "whitey" of "tiggles" and you'd always pick the right one. you were the best dog to ever walk the earth. i love you so much and miss you terribly. i love you.
