Let's see . . . married 30 years . . . I never could have imagined Suz would have tolerated me this long. When we got married, we set out on one course and now when we look back, we never would have dreamed that it would look like this.
We have 3 amazing kids including a son and daughter-in-law. They are such a blessing and when I think about it, it only seemed possible in my prayers.
And now, I am a Grandpa . . . did I say that? It can't be possible. Gabriel is so beautiful and I am in awe that I have been blessed enough to live long enough to have such an incredible family.
I have the best brothers and sisters and we are all pretty close in proximity so we hang out and laugh alot. I love that my Mom and Dad live here in town with us. It's all pretty special.
I am part of an amazing group of people in a church in the Tri-Cities in Washington state. God decided to use us to tell his story and we are trying our best to make him look good. Every day we stand in awe of the way He uses us to draw people into new life with him.
This is my 50th year and I had the best birthday party ever and many of my greatest friends were there.
Does life really get any better?
I even got to ride in a helicopter over Rwanda, Africa this summer! And if that isn't cool, we now have a child that we sponsor so he can attend school in Rwanda. He will be coming to the US to stay at our house next summer. He is going to travel in a choir all over the US and share the story of Rwanda to the people of America.
So, my question is . . . will the next 50 be any better?
Here's to Jesus!
