Welcome to my Solo Music Project.
I am an underground, independent, self-produced multi-genre multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and songwriter setting no limits on the music I compose, record, mix, engineer from my home studio.
Laying pretty low at this stage since I am up to my neck rewriting, re-recording, mixing, mastering and everything else in between.
Sound effect engineering is a big interest of mine. I am replacing the sounds in my current tracks with my own custom effects and voice acting.
These days, I go from the occasional cover, punk, hard rock, thrash, death, metal, shredding, progressive through to acoustic on a random rotational basis. All of these genres except cover versions will appear on my debut 13 track CD.
My interest in guitar driven music began when I bought Faith No More's "The Real Thing" on cassette at age 15 in 1989. Some guitarists find it interesting that I use a 3.0mm Jim Dunlop Big Stubby pick for all of my lead guitar, rhythm guitar and bass guitar playing, unless fingerpicking.
My most ambitious cover versions to date have been PanterA's This Love and Mouth For War where I programmed the drum parts while listening to the original tracks, and learnt all rhythm and lead guitar, bass guitar and vocal parts. Looking forward to laying down my final versions.
The biggest inspiration for me is Dimebag Darrell. Being able to speak with Dime and the rest of PanterA in '96 at the HMV Brisbane City Store record signing is something I will never forget. Seeing and hearing PanterA and Biohazard blow it up on 16 September 1996 is a memory forever burnt into my mind.
