About Me

"I love the Cinema, I love metal, I love games! Woo"

Thought I would write a proper About Me section, I have been meaning to for a while, here it is:

I was interested in Cartoons and comics as a kid both as a viewr and an artist, but this has pretty much faded away over time despite doing alot of drawing and continue to scetch and do some artwork I haven't really developed this skill.

I was also a computer enthusiast from a young age with my first Computer being a ZX Spectrum 48k in the early 80s followed by an Atari ST for Christmas 1990. Nowadays I like to upgrade my PC every couple of years, the PC I have right now is just over 2 years old so might be getting a new one sometime soon, deciding on what specification to go for.

Towards the end of the 90s I got into films in a big way especially lower budget trash and explotations movies although I have a good knowledge of most genres. I started to build a real video collection from around age 18 with the purchase of about 6 videos at a carboot, videos which were still stand-out ones in my collection years later. I ammassed a collection of around 800 videos, a large amount being Big Box Rental releases of films, usually drawn to the more obscure unknown films than the well know mainstream variety. Now I have a large DVD collection (around 500-600) mostly made up of Horror & Sci-Fi. I like to go to film festivals to see impossible to otherwise see Short Films, to see the latest interesting independent movies from around the world and generally for the atmosphere. I've also made a few short films in the past few years using a digital video camera and hope to make a few more.

Click here for a list of films I've seen, that I can remember.
And here for a list of films I've seen so far in 2007.
I have always had an interest in music but not very wide, mainly 3 or 4 bands in my teenage years and individual songs. I really got interested in popular music when I was around 16 alot of songs I remember are from the mid to late 90s. Two bands which I personally found really good were Terrovision (who are a bit of a mixture between Indie and Rock) and Pop Will Eat Itself (Whose music can range from Punk, to dance, to industrial, to trace-based hip-hop) and have all their albums and many of their singles. Lately though in the past few years I've discovered European Metal with Bands Such as Edguy, Hammerfall & Masterplan.

As far as socialising goes, I have been a bit of a loner, until a year or so ago I didn't really go out much, prefering to just stay at home. Possibly because of the places that I thought were available to go out to, the more trendy chavvy places which are still there, but I find it much more enjoyable now that I go to rock clubs. I think I'm a pretty likeable person, not too annoying and a good, if wobbly, drunk. I really wish though that there were more things to do, or that people do on a weekend than just getting drunk.

I'm not going to dislike you because of the clothes you wear, or your sexual pursuasion, we're all free to do what we like so long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. I'm not a person who tends to hate people, unless they are unreasonable and/or violent people. Respond to Words with words & Violence with violence. Words mean nothing from someone you don't respect. I have a bit of a shy personality when I'm unsure if people want me to be there but when I'm comfortable and sure everyone else is I can be quite open.

Time for some tough love.

You scored as Satanism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.
