The New North String Band is a bluegrass group made of members from across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Formed in June of 2008, the group plays a variety of original and traditional music.

The New North String Band completed their DEBUT ALBUM "NNSB" on May 18th, 2009. Recorded at Glacier Studios and mastered at Wild Sound Studios, the record will be available May 30th. These recordings were produced and engineered by David Hedding.

In January, 2009, a New North String Band original, "River Bottom Blues", was selected by Quickstar Productions (Baltimore, MD) to be part of an Americana compilation CD entitled "Goin' Back Home". This compilation features artists from across the U.S. & Canada and will be nationally released to minor labels as well as the college radio circuit in late spring, 2009. It will also be available online.
