We don't choose the day; the day chooses us

About Me

If you know me then you know that this picture tends to says a lot about me. I am English by heritage, Californian by birth, and Arkansasan by choice.
I am an English prick...
As my friends can attest, I tend to be outspoken and blunt; sometimes to a fault. I am known for being an a**hole; but that that is also one of my good qualities. I have been told that you either like me or you don't. I am loyal to a fault and stand up for who and what I believe. I am passionate about my profession and my friends. I rarely hold a grudge but when I get to that point it is almost for life.
My job is a driving force in my life. I tend to work quite a bit but I love what I do and where I do it; I have actually been told that I am pretty good at my job.
My friends are my life and my family. They have been there in the best and worst of times.
For all of my faults, I really am a good person. If you take the time to get to know me, people say that it was a good investment.
So, take a few minute to read through my site. It is not my intention to offend with the pictures and cartoons that you find here but rather to give you a bit of insight into my world. If you were not interested, you wouldn't be here now.

My Interests

I am a night person. I prefer sunsets over sunrises.

I'd like to meet:

The Pope;
Bill Gates;
Bill Clinton;
The Queen of England and the Royal Family;
Those that I have lost contact with over the years;
And some random people who just don't pop into my head right now.

Music:

Don't really have a favorite band or song. I like what I like. Still listen to a lot of music from the 80s; I wonder why?

Movies:

I really enjoy movies. I seldom go to the cinema to see them but collect them when they come out on DVD. Currently I have over 300 and continue to collect them. To view my collection, go to http://www.moodb.com/user/?ordopm

Books:

Robert A. Heinlein; Robert Jordan - Wheel Of Time series; W. E. B. Griffen; Patrick O'Brien; C. S. Forester; Dudley Pope. I love reading. My current favorite 'genre' is Nepolianic naval warfare.

Heroes:

I cannot really say that I have a hero or heroes. My friends are the closest that I can come to that term. Namely; Ris , Richard L , Brandon G , Terra M , and my best friend: Josh C ; ... especially my best friend. They have been there for my in the rough times and continue to be there for me. As has my special friend CJ .

My life would not be complete anymore without my fraternity brothers; my lil J (#980) , my grand lil Oz (#1021) , Logan (#1045) , and Nathan (#1038 ) who is serving in the USMC. Unfortunately, I do not get to see them or spend time with them as often as I like but they are never far from my heart.

I cannot forget about my baby sister, Dawn M . For all of our disagreements and problems, she is my family and I love her dearly and am thankful to have her as my sister.
