About Me

My name is Howdy Doody. No joke. That's me at 1 day old in the picture. My parents have a sick since of humor. Actually, Doody isn't my last name, it's my middle name. My Dad came up with the name when I was born. They were going to name me Thomas Richard Harrison III, but when I was born, my dad said, "howdy, doody!" So it stuck. Literally. So I'm actually legally named Howdy Doody Harrison (the first). I refused to name my boy after me.I once knew two guys named Richard Wiener and Dick Wiener. Seriously. Father and Son. They worked together. I met them at the same time. I kept a straight face.My younger brother actually got the name that I was supposed to have. He's been rubbing my face in, well, you know what, since I can remember.For some reason, I'm the smallest person in my family. Even my mother is taller than I am. She's 5'3". Funny enough, I have really big feet... Size 14. That's huge for a guy that's less than 5'3" tall, you know. That's all I have to say about that.Anyway, because I'm so short, no one really notices me all that much. So I just sit back, and observe life. I try to participate, but sometimes that doesn't work out so well. I'll be putting up some blogs, so you can share in my experiences. Good and bad.By the way, I am a Christian. I'm very serious about that one. Lots of what I say may be a little uncomfortable to folks both Christian and otherwise. It's not intended to make folks uncomfortable. It's just intended to get folks thinking about what they do, how they act, the way things effect the little people, like me.
