About Me

The Hub City Stranglers is a project that I started when my last relationship went to the shitter. I spent most of my time listening to bands like Drag The River, Eddie Spaghetti, Johnny Cash, Old Crow Medicine Show and many others. I've come to have a new found love for country music, and not this poppy shit they are trying to pass of as country these days. The Stranglers is a idea I had when trying to piece my life back together, I figured I'd start a side project and I would be the only mainstay, the rest of the band would be guest musicians lending their talents on tracks. This lasted until The Train Wreck Sessions was recorded & I asked Keegan to be a permanent fixture as well. Now I'm not really much of a guitar player so this band is going to be heavily relying on the talents of others. I just hope you all enjoy the songs alot of heart and feelings went into these. We plan to record a new ep which will be titled "High Time For Low Lifes" in the upcoming months. The songs are all written but were both busy with our other bands at the current time. Keeps your eyes and ears pealed though because it won't be long until we have it ready to go.The Story Behind The Train Wreck Sessions: This album is a compilation of songs that I have written about my journey in life over the past 2 years. So I'm gonna give you a rundown of what each song is about, so here we go.
Halfway Down To Hell This song was the first Stranglers tunes I wrote & is part 1 of a story. Originally I wrote this to be a Rock'n Rebels tune but just didn't seem to fit with our style and hence the Stranglers were born. I wrote this about a relationship breaking up and 3 weeks later the mother of my son & I parted ways.Six Days Straight A tale of drowning sorrows of a broken heart in a vast sea of alcohol & misery followed by the anchor of loneliness. Which is the exact opposite of what I did, but what I felt like doing for a long long time. However my son is the only anchor I need in this world.Found Another This is a song I wrote about a suspicion that my ex and at the time love of my life had started dating again and part two in my road to recovering from a broken heart. Turns out this song came true as well, and best of luck to her.Light In Autumn Mornings This is the second Stranglers song I wrote but was actually the first one I wrote that I wrote to be a side project. This is a song that I wrote for my son Liam and if you take the first letter of each word in the title, it spells his name. My son is my world and is the one thing I can never thank his mother enough for.Fire In My Heart After writing two songs that appeared to have come true, I decided my next venture & part three in the saga was going to be a positive song. This is about me finally feeling like its time to get on with my life. That somewhere out there is a girl worth all the heartache I've face so far in this life.Flappin' your Lips This song was kind of a joke from the very beginning. I was just messing around one day trying to make my friend Julie laugh and this is what came about it. I really liked the progression, as simple as it is so I decide to record it as well.Baby Stole My Ride Originally this was the first song I wrote for my old band Treble Kings. I really liked this song and it was never recorded so I figured I would make a few changes here and there and add it to the Stranglers set. The original title for this was "Demon Stole My Ride".If You Said This is my shining gem on this album & my life summed up to this point in a song . This is also the forth and last installment to the story. I"ve never really been lucky in love and I've also been lonely for a good part of it. Recently I met a girl and we get along really well. I don't want to jinx anything here but, If I could convince her to take a chance on me. I could show her just how much this man has changed since his last tango with love.

So there you have it folks, what is behind every single track on this album & what road my life has taken since August 14 2007 up until today. I would like to give a huge fucking thanks to my friends that help me out with The Train Wreck Sessions. I owe you all a dept of gratitude and it was honor to record with such fine musicians.
