She has worked with some of the best and edgiest directors in Hollywood! While working in film and television, she parlayed her quick comedic wit to the comedy arena and was a member of the original Groundlings with Gary Austin. In the early 90’s, Cha Cha was the very first Latina to be featured as a regular at the world famous Comedy Store on Sunset Blvd thanks to the late great Sam Kinison. She has opened for George Lopez, Drew Carey, and has performed in numerous shows in and around L.A. Cha Cha writes her own material and was nominated in 2003 in the NOHO festival for a show she wrote while a member of the Mark Taper Forum Writing Lab, entitled "Four Tamales Missing in Action". Today Cha Cha writes under the famed writers boot camp banner under artistic director, Jeffrey Gordon. She has created an action packed TV Series that is in production and she’s directing it. She also has a Latina/o comedy show in production. Cha Cha has come full circle in her career. She is hitting the stages again with her wit and improv skills! She’s the only Latina Stand-Up Comic currently out there who can sing, do comedy, and fall down without a drink!
When she isn’t busy writing articles, giving motivational speeches, working on her projects or hitting the comedy stages, she likes to spend time caring for her horses with her best production in the world, her gorgeous daughter, Devon.
