Badman Nah wash no dishes!

About Me

I am DJ by the name of D-Rail which is a reference to a youth of painting graffiti and a fascination with doing bad things to trains lol.I started DJing immediately after after inheriting a shedload of tape packs from my older sisters friend when she felt that the old school hardcore rave scene was dead. OH how wrong she was!! Anyway want not waste not, I began fiendishly collecting records and listening to every radio show that played DnB. JJ frost, Hype and Randall all had shows on kiss that still inspire me to this day when I hear old tapes.Having learnt to mix on a Soundlab, one piece, belt drive beast. I finally persuaded the old dear to lend me the cash to get some technics. After that, along with an ardent crew of junglist mates we would drive around with them in the back of the car looking for a house party to hijack and any free party to blag onto the decks.I learnt probably 90% of the real information about the history and culture of the music from Electrodisc records and the SOS.com crew down in Brighton. Big up Mickey Freeze, Pops, Vinnie, Ten, Ed, Rob & and Tom, all Brighton crew. I ended up playing just about every major venue in BTown and warming up for an endless stream of big names, as well as playing all over the place with the crew Triple Threat. I ended up getting involved with and playing sets on Rage FM, big up Jam one and all the originals, you know who you are.I am now in Beijing China, DJing and promoting with The Syndicate and working with China Vibe records ( the only Chinese DnB record label ) discovering and promoting artists in China.I am also an aspiring Producer by the name of Channelled Anger. The clue is in the title here with respect to the sound that really motivates me to make music. I have always been caught by the Darker, Moody, Jazz inspired sounds. I also collect Jazz and Blues records so if I ever manage to manage to make a tune worth hearing, it will be rammed with samples from said collection.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: chinaviberecords.com jing-dnb.com
Band Members: A member of many but right now this is a one man band.
Influences: The biggest influences on me as a DJ were the DJ Hype, JJ Frost and Randall radio shows and Electrodisc records crew in Brighton. I made the effort and still do make the effort to listen to what every DJ does on the decks. There is so much more to it than mixing. I can mix, double drop and all that but that is definitely not the most important part of DJing imo. I get hacked off when I see a DJ tear the place down and then hear some bedroom trainspotter say it was shit because his mixing aint as good as someone else. These days some of the biggest DJ's in the world are turning up and playing a whole set off the lap top. Of course you never hear a shonky mix but the set is just plain shit!
Sounds Like: Different everytime!
Record Label: China Vibe Recordings
