1999-2004
the band started as my demo project freshmen year of college in 1999. the only intention and expectation i ever had was to write a catchy song. I started recording on my roommate Mike's 4 track cassette recorder and bouncing them onto my other roommate's computer. Things avalanched and soon mike, ben, lina and I had a show at Brandeis university with Atom and His Package. Next the drum machine was axed, adam and pat started playing with us. Jamie was there too. So the first real line up was complete and we played and played. We toured and recorded, didn't amount to much, but then adam wouldv'e rather had watched how high than play in the band and sent me an email saying he wanted out. the shuffle continued, and erik was chosen as the bass man. the last REAL lineup was complete. That was the switch. what had mutated from me alone had grown into 5 people playing music together. It ended and i miss it at least. Thanks for the wild ride.

"...Providence's The Switch provides an ambient respite with the
atavistic but catchy impure pop of "Two For Flinching."
