About Me

SinniK, the guitar player and driving sonic force behind the critically acclaimed art metal outfit Dimeyes has been in and around music most of all his life. He begun studying classical piano at the age of 7 under R.M. Buhayer but was quickly won over by the seductive menace of the electric guitar. He spent most of his adolescence developing his technical skill, focusing on the rock/blues/heavy metal formats, as well as theoretical knowledge under V.Fillipeou. A true renaissance man, he obtained his harmony and classical piano degrees from the Philarmonic Conservatory of Patras scoring a dazzling 9.98/10 and 10/10 respectively.
Unable to rest in his laurels, he went on to study jazz guitar under the well known player and composer Christos Anestopoulos. In studying the jazz masters, SinniK discovered that he could bring a whole new dimension to his playing by fusing jazz elements with his more traditional rock/blues origins, the result of which was Dimeyes’ breakthrough debut “Eyesight is Getting Dim”. Not only was the guitar sound incendiary but it took the instrument down a path left mostly unexplored by most in the metal world.
SinniK currently resides in Athens, studying under internationally acclaimed virtuoso, teacher and author Ioannis Anastassakis. At the same time, he’s working closely with C.Psyhogios at the Nakas Conservatory in Athens, furthering his knowledge of classical music by studying counterpoint.
When not in concert lending his considerable talent and unique personal touch to guitarist-producer George Emmanuel, SinniK can be found in the INN studios working on his instrumental stuff as well as the next Dimeyes outing. Moreover, currently he's playing with the band SlavEATgod, one of the most promising and powerful greek metal bands .
