Effie lives in Thessaloniki, Greece. She studied music in Thessaloniki and London. She has been composing music for theatre since 1997. She is also interested in the live interaction of music, speech and drama and has performed in theater as piano player several times. Her musical treatment is mainly minimal, characterized by a basic theme variated, by short motifs, contrapuntal development and simple harmony in a classical score set up. The mood is atmospheric and descriptive, mostly inspired by people and senses.
She works as a music instructor in departments of music technology and sound engineering and in theatre.
