The Great American Freedom Machine:
1 part Creole and 2 minutes from coon-assed red neck. I am a man of ideas. I fought three men at a time at least three times. I grew up around the turpentine smell in my Dad's art studio where he taught me everything he knew about string theory and quarks, light and energy, the realm of the spirit... When the power of the spirit moves me, I can do many wonderous things. That's my favorite line by Van Morrison, and "Did God have a choice?" is the question Einstein stated as a fact. My mother is a warrior of old times, victorious now in her battle to raise Four strong, smart, and healthy children up in Love. When I got kicked out of school as a youngster, I would immediately be conscripted into the servitude of my mother.. I will tell you that woman worked. I am blessed by a real relationship with God and the joy of love for all of my brothers and sisters. As a Twelve year old, I had a lawn route that I built by knocking on doors. With the money I earned at that time I began to buy my own clothes, then a car, then a fierce love for independence. I have had and do have many friends. Brothers in spirit, many with different visions and perceptions of such said spirit. I have no explanation of definition for my God, but I have felt the spirit and seen it work many times. I have owned ten cars and totaled two of them. I have been pulled over at random at least 100 times and never had a DWI.(can I get my cookie now?) I'm a rapper. My dad is an artist. When I was a kid he used to tell me about his boxing over in black town(the side of town that then segregated Orange's black folks lived). He would tell me of how he knew when to punch when he felt his head jerk back..., but, booooy, that jab of mine..."WHAP!".. as his arm went forth he would make the sound effects, then again.."that's the way you do it, son, straight punches. I was maybe 5. When I was 12, I learned everything I could from Bubba Bushemie in a week at our familly reunion. He boxed in the Munich games for the US, and even for a championship belt later. "I was just too nice. I wanted to go in there and box the guy, beat him on points," he said. Then with all seriousness he grabbed my shoulder and looked me in the eye and said "don't ever do that. Go in there and just knock their heads off. But punch straight, like this..."
I never did do much boxing, but found plenty of application for the things I learned from him. I find that true of all things I learn, and therefore strive to learn as much as I can. You will find me walking a new path each time I go to the same place, just so I can gain a new perspective by seeing things from a different angle. I want to hear everyone's. Some things I hear I deam Devilish and will have nothing more to do with. Don't expect me not to tell you something.
