Get Up to Get Down

About Me

Get Up to Get Down are a new eight piece funk ensemble out of Victoria, BC. Schooled in the beefy sounds of 60s and 70s funk and soul, the members of Get Up to Get Down came together to give tribute to this music, in the process giving it their distinctive new-school touch. Featuring members from a wide array of musical backgrounds, GU to GD boasts a three-piece horn section and talented young vocalist that are held together by one tight and funky-ass rhythm section.

Get Up to Get Down has played at:
Logan's (Victoria)
Lucky (Victoria)
Felicita's (Victoria)
The Bent Mast (Victoria)
Joe King Club House (Hornby Island)
The Lodge (Ucluelet)
The Army Navy Hall (Ucluelet)
Beaver Point Hall (Salt Spring Island)
Various Special Events (Weddings, High School Reunions, House Parties)

This is what we do!
