Since you decided to read my bio, I might as well start out by saying I’m Shane. I’m an aspiring songwriter from Pennsylvania majoring in music at West Chester University. I actually started writing songs about 5 or 6 years ago when a friend jokingly asked me to write her a song for Valentines Day. Me being me, I took it as a challenge. So if you ask me to write a song for you, I probably will haha. Anyway, I figured since I played trumpet and always wrote poetry, I'd combine my musical talents and give songwriting a shot [I didn't know how to play piano or ever tried to sing at this point). Although I didn't know what the outcome would be, I actually created a very pretty song. So I thought hey there might be something to this songwriting stuff. I could never imagine then that I could play piano or sing, let alone come as far as I have. So when you listen to my music, I hope you see more than just another musician. I hope you see an ordinary person who has put a great deal of hard work and dedication to get where he's at. I don't promise to be the "best singer in ages" like some people try to advertise themselves as. But I do promise that I poured every ounce of my heart into every word, melody, and rhythm of my songs. There is no substitute for passion. Music is about so much more than just music. It has the ability to heal and to bring hope of something better. And I hope that I can show that to the world.The support of my friends and family keeps me going.
