About Me

Westley Earl Crawford was born on April 17, 1988 in Sacramento,California. He was born into a life of gang-banging and hustling. When later interviewed, Crawford, aka Wess says at a young age, he recalls seeing both of his parents arguing over stolen furniture in their house. His father was addict to Crack Cocaine. Drugs and guns were all around Wess growing up. At around the age of 8 Wess father abandoned him and his family due to lack of drug use. Wess's intelligence was acknowledged by his sisters Peers growing up and he usually helped his Mother and his Handicap sister around their house. At about the age of 13 Wess Heard this inspiring song by Clifford (T.I.) Harris (24s) and started mimicking the beat pattern. Emma (Westley's) Mother Noticed the skills he was showing and signed him up in school be in drum line.It Seemed to him that very time Wess heard a different pattern of a instrument motion he'd put saying long with it which influenced him to rap.Seven years later Wess Percussionist & Rap skills were obsolete. Not only did Wess know how to make beats he would Challenge anyone who approached Wess at Washington High School. Around 2006, Wess met his idol, Clifford (T.I.) Harris founder of Grand Hustle. This was a defining moment in his life.Wess's adolescence was one of many hardships. Soon after Westley felt like there was not enough money coming in so he and his older cousin Marcus quickly had a monopoly on the drug trade. That was short lived however. On October 15, 2006, while at his apartment alone, Marcus heard a knock on the door at 12 a.m. Wanting to make a late night sale, he opened the door to see a regular customer. His regular however brought two others with him. He and another man fought. Reaching for his pistol,Marcus was shot execution style by one of the assailants five times. After hearing the gun shots next door, Westley used his cell phone and called the ambulance. Marcus didn't make it to the hospital he died on the way there. While mourning his older cousin, he told his younger brother Shaun to go out and buy all of the classic hip hop albums. This included Big's "Ready To Die",T.I. "Trap Muzik" , Eminem "Eminem LP", Jay-Z's "Reasonable Doubt", and albums by NWA. In the course of six months, he studied these albums in an almost scientific manner. In the beginning, his flows were weak, but Wess was a quick study and eventually learned better freestyling skills. He took elements from his favorite rappers and formulized them into his own persona and style. After That Crawford Started making his very own local albums performing at open mike nights at Blue Bar on Mondays.By doing this he ran into a club owner Double D that had alot of connections. In July,2,2007 Double D had Wess perform With Micah (Paster Troy) Troy at Club Dimensions for a Pre Fourth of July banquet. In Fall of 2007 Wess Met a promoter Andrew Forbes in his home town Pensacola, Florida. Who Excelled and Distributed Wess's Music to Dj's all in the southern area. With this acheivement wess has been on five of Dj Frogie and Dj colocks Mixtapes. After selling a few Wess found himself so one who can manage his music career better Omor Bickham. In March,5 2008, one of Wess sisters,Tori who was just 15 passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital. Crawford says that he felt his father played a hand in this by doing Herion- Cocaine and felt that if he haven't use it, his sister would not have been sickily causing her to pass away. Tori died the day Wess visited her in the hospital promising that things would be better and lost time would be made up.As nerve shaking as it was Wess is still working on his career and living his dream. ....
