About Me

(en español más abajo). . . . . Educated at Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA and Juilliard School, NYC, NY. Freelanced in NYC for a few years until 1991 when Spain put in a call and I've been here ever since, with the Orchestra of the Principality of Asturias. The sheet music for many of my compositions are published by www.editionsviento.com including "The Bassoonist of Hamelin" - WW Quintet and Solo Bassoon versions (English and Spanish versions of both), "The Invasion of the Fiufas" for WW 5tet and narrator (also in English or Spanish), Two reed trios, a Bsn Quartet, and "Solo for Unaccompanied Bassoon". There's also a set of arrangements for Reed Trio of Bach Fugues which I collaborated on with the Spontaneous Winds. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Unpublished works include "El Secreto" for 2 Double Basses, Bassoon and Percussion; "Plankton" for Violin, Double Bass, Oboe and Bassoon; "Habanerarenabah" for 12 saxophones (see this palindromic work by clicking on "View all Blog Entries" above. There's also my piece with Sax accompanying Karate Katas there); "Opus Octo" for Wind Octet; and "The Tortoise and the Hare" for Brass Quintet and Narrator. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
