About Me

Heylo, I'm Christopher. Labels: I am a third-year student in modern history at the university of essex, a careworker (with adults with learning dis), vegetarian, annoying black-wearing twat. I love history, I feel that you need to understand where we've come from to understand who we are - and if that's not too pretentious for you, to know where we're going. I have a strange sense of humour and enjoy pointing and laughing. I would like to write more but am rarely inspired. I have two rats named Ring and Spiral, and my dream is to live on a tropical island (I can currently afford to buy 1/200th of a tropical island). I will let Henry's Cat take over for me here:.. width="425" height="350" ..My plan for this week: Monday: Find a virus that turns people into zombies, and create one which subsequently escapes and turns on me. Tuesday: Kill zombie, but be bitten in the battle. Wednesday: Turn into zombie. Thursday: Infect the earth, and turn it into an eerie, silent, barren wasteland disturbed only by the moans of my undead brethren. Friday: Have zombie pizza party. Woohoo!

The State Were In

So, I've recently finished uni, expecting a 2:1 out of it. Strange how three years of work, rest and play can be summarised in only two syllables... still, I've accomplished what I came here to do, na...

Absit invidia

I have a 2:1 for my second year, and I got *exactly* the results I was hoping/expecting from my courses - a 2:2, 3 2:1s, and a first (in Russian history). Very pleased. My pumpkins have just started t...

Revising on wings of doom

There's something about the mix of exams and birthdays that makes me incredibly fatalistic, so don't worry if I seem depressed; I am sure I will not really fail all my exams, drop out of uni, become h...

Mothers, don't let your children study computer science

I've been back at uni a week now, and it's so strange. Not the uni itself, but me... I feel so disconnected from everything, like it's all happening to someone else. Highlights so far: baking a coffee...

Home at last

Finally got home! I walked alone most of the way here (Clacton) from Stratford, though I did get a bus from Milton Keynes to Luton and a lift from Coggeshall to here. I left Biff and Logan behind at S...

I wonder, what does 'exanimate' mean?

Today I contemplated the greatest mysteries of creation. It hurt.

I am the greatest person who has ever lived. Ever!

They said it coud not be done! They said I was mad! But I have shown them to be the fools that it turns out they were all along, for I have constructed one of the greatest cakes ever to have existed i...
